This was the second place I went to after walking out of a different shop when I didn’t feel comfortable. Here I was greeted by friendly and extremely knowledgeable staff. My wedding dress is very intricate due to complex lace, yet all the alterations needed are nearly invisible! I also received a generous military discount that was so appreciated, as the overall cost was expensive, almost $400. Yet I am so glad I went here and nowhere else. What’s the point in having a beautiful dress if you don’t pay for it to fit you? Thanks again ladies!

I took my wedding gown to her for alterations. It was too big and I was worried the top wouldn’t fit correctly – I don’t know why I worried at all with her altering my dress, I swear she makes miracles happen! My dress fit me so well when she was done with it! VanLear is where I will be sending all my friends who are looking for alterations or a custom dress!

Lora created the wedding dress of my dreams and for that I am forever grateful. Lora was so kind and professional. I will not take a formal dress anywhere else for alterations. Lora listens to what you want, and how you want your dress to fit. At other places (including David’s Bridal), you are treated like you are stupid, and THEY will tell YOU how YOUR dress should fit, even if it emphasizes every insecurity you have… garbage. Go to Van Lear. She listens, she cares, and she’s fun to work with.
