VanLear Bridals, Inc. began operating in New York City in 1984. We started in a showroom on Seventh Avenue and shortly thereafter moved to a newly renovated bridal floor at 1375 Broadway where we spent nearly 18 years building our business and reputation among bridal retailers. Because of our well-formed reputation we have been able to develop our design talent into a very successful private label business; and now, a local showroom for our formalwear division in historic Miamisburg, Ohio.
Why did we open a showroom in Miamisburg?
The answer is simply we love the atmosphere and small town commaraderie we have found here. New York is a fun place to visit but it is quite another matter to actually live there and run a very demanding business. Here we have the best of both worlds. The excitement of fashion and the comfort of home. We originally hail from Cincinnati!
In the beginning we felt it was very important to create our own image and advertise our own line. It was important to be in New York, Chicago, L.A., Dallas, and Atlanta. This helped us to build credibility not only for our design ability but for our quality. Along the way we discovered we could approach the business of designing and marketing our gowns differently than the "branded" gowns seen in the magazines. We are in the business of producing a product that a woman wants to wear....because it is the perfect gown for her; and because that picture in the magazine does not have to remain a picture but can become a reality. Our business model is to fulfill a need in the market place for exquistie formal and bridal attire in the Miami Valley and bring it to you with a sincere desire to make your shopping experience a truly fun and joyful event in and of itself.
